The Details

I hear from sooo many women my size who are afraid to wear sheer items, and cropped tops. I have NO problem breaking both rules and neither should you. You’ve seen the sheer dress with the black pieces underneath, which perfect for running around the city taking care of shopping and errands on a Sunday afternoon. The key here is that I stuck to the theme which is more Fashion Editor than it is street style. While the sheer top was a bit risqué or “uber trendy” the rest of my look was built with classic, and tailored pieces.  When you know the overall feeling or aura you’re trying to project. Choosing the pieces becomes a bit simpler. Less Overwhelming.

The Shoes

The right black shoes honestly can turn all the basics into this level of chic that we all try and reach when getting dressed in the morning.  This pair is from Aldo, and I recall thinking man “I just spent a pretty penny on these shoes” I thought that I would regret the purchase. I absolutely. Did. Not.  The heel is the perfect height and they have perfect point by the toes.  

The Accessories

Topping off your look is all about the accessories and stand out earring are always a perfect for the reach. I’ve seen this pair of earrings on Mattie from Mattieologie millions of times and I have been dying to have them for myself, they are never in stock online. Birmingham now has their very own H&M and I kind of did a double take when I saw them.  Adding these earring easily kicked the chic into overdrive for this look.
